the learneds (conference of the humanities)

I sat at a booth at The Learneds this year, at York University, for a few hours on Saturday — it was the last day of the conference, pouring rain, and SO boring. I was at a booth for Canadian Journals, so I started to read a few and there's a lot of interesting stuff out there. Topia was my favourite, and I may even subscribe to it. It's the journal for Cultural Studies in Canada, and every paper was pretty fascinating and wasn't written with the typical academic pretension that so many are.
