opening day and crown mouldings

Posted on May 27, 2006. Filed under: Family |

It’s opening day for soccer in town today — since there are some 4000 or more kids in town who play, you basically get to see everyone you know in one fell swoop. I stopped by my little bro’s fundraising table to purchase some raffle tickets (fingers crossed that I win the fire pit or at least something), then went to buy super cheap shorts at the mall (which I found at the evil empire of Walmart for $5 and, sadly, I did buy them) and then proceeded to paint 18 pieces of crown moulding for the new house. I did a pretty good job if I do say so myself, but my shoulder hurts — how pathetic is that — my shoulder hurts from painting 18 pieces of wood.

The re: line in his email was: amazing google. He then copied this post: after the drunken phone call and ended his email by saying:

stabilo at the mod club last night

ninadiva and I went to see Stabilo last night and it was a really good show. The lead singer has such a powerful presence on stage you can't help but be captivated. And wow can he ever sing. I'm always worried when I got to see a live band that they won't sound that great live — but these guys sounded far better than they do on the radio.

The funny thing was that we were waiting for the music to start and just chatting and the band started playing — but we still weren't sure after 3 songs if it was Stabilo or an opening band…we had money on the opening band idea, but really couldn't have said either way until they finished their set. They were really quite good too…and pretty damn hot. Actually almost all of the guys in both bands were hot. A nice touch to the evening.
