opening day and crown mouldings

It’s opening day for soccer in town today — since there are some 4000 or more kids in town who play, you basically get to see everyone you know in one fell swoop. I stopped by my little bro’s fundraising table to purchase some raffle tickets (fingers crossed that I win the fire pit or at least something), then went to buy super cheap shorts at the mall (which I found at the evil empire of Walmart for $5 and, sadly, I did buy them) and then proceeded to paint 18 pieces of crown moulding for the new house. I'm always worried when I got to see a live band that they won't sound that great live — but these guys sounded far better than they do on the radio.

The funny thing was that we were waiting for the music to start and just chatting and the band started playing — but we still weren't sure after 3 songs if it was Stabilo or an opening band…we had money on the opening band idea, but really couldn't have said either way until they finished their set. They were really quite good too…and pretty damn hot. Actually almost all of the guys in both bands were hot. A nice touch to the evening.
