i liked it… a lot

I saw the Da Vinci Code on Friday morning and I actually really liked it a lot. Pay no attention to the critics, just go and see for yourself. It's a decent and entertaining movie and has the potential to be quite thought provoking. Have you seen it yet? Did you like it? Did you like the book better?

Cool, I was thinking of going to see it…maybe this weekend.

Oh, I didn’t like it all that much — the performances were great, but the movie was so sloooowwww.

I have heard that it is not worth the money for the cinema – which is why I will watch it tonight at home. If it is half as good as the book I will like it.

I was lucky, and got to see it for free, but am likely going again with the fam — my little brother has now read the book twice in the same year for the same English class (even though it’s only grade 8, this irks me). It’s definitely worth it, and I thought the pace was pretty good — it’s not super-thriller-shoot-em-up pace, but is accurate to how the book was, or so I thought. I read Angels and Demons first, and I found that the Da Vinci Code as a story wasn’t that fast paced after Angels and Demons.

Come back when you’ve seen it and let me know what you thought.
