ice age 2

Kevin and I went to see Ice Age 2 today, and it was cute. Not as funny as the first one was, but very cute for a kids film. I like that the mammoth thinks shes an opossum and tries to sleep upside-down in the trees. Very cute.

something about ninadiva and i and getting lost

We ventured down to St. Catharine’s last night for the big Stag and Doe — Carolyn and Derek actually had a fantastic turnout, which is cool. I was still kind of in a blah mood, but we had a good time, and had an adventure getting there.

We turned off on our exit and weren’t sure of what street we were on — then found Lake street and started reading the directions from the top…looking for Dunlop, but no Dunlop to be seen. Once the street ended, and we turned around NinaDiva realized that she had started reading the directions at the wrong place (Dunlop was the street that we didn’t see a sign for), so then we started looking for Louisa, but we’re both blind. So we passed one street that we couldn’t read the sign for and I say “can’t be that street, because we can’t read the sign”. We get back to where we started and turn around and low and behold, it was the street with no name that we needed (of course).

Reminded us of the time we were lost in Port Hope because we had recieved poor directions. We drove around all of Port Hope for what seemed like hours, looking for a friend’s cottage and then finally gave up, and pulled into the gas station to get gas for the trek home. As we were pulling in, a carload of our friends also pulled in! We were saved! The next funny thing was in the morning, her car wouldn’t start and our friend wasn’t allowed to have girls in the cottage — too funny. We managed to get out of there before his parents showed up. Ah, the espionage of high school.
