valentine’s days past (a day late)

I was thinking of a few different valentine’s days of the past… There was the one where my first boyfriend in highschool and I did the typical gift, go for dinner thing, which was nice. That was the first night I had a sip of Guinness and I remember him saying “it’s only good beer if you can’t see through it” as he held it up to the light.

Valentine’s Day in 2002 Brian and I were on a plane to England (it was reading week) and he made me close my eyes and had given me sheet music and had put earphones and a discman on me — he had written me a song. Which made me cry on the plane.

The following reading week I was in Vancouver, and I was staying at a hostel downtown. I took the shuttle out to the Capilano Suspension Bridge and this guy asked if I wanted to split his 2 for 1 coupon with him. We ended up spending 6 hours walking back to downtown Vancouver from North Van, stopped for an IMAX on the way, then got changed and went for dinner. I never saw Cory again, but it was a very fun valentine’s day.
